My relationship with writing began when I was twenty years old, the outgrowth of an epiphanal experience which effected a fundamental shift in my worldview and center of being. For years afterwards I wrote without concern for, or attention to, any particular form, but rather simply as a methodology for precipitating my own self-evolution.
Each of the pieces contained on this site emerge from that heritage, of writing for the sake of writing alone. They are intended to demonstrate, collectively, the diversities of style, form and content that I range across when I sit down to explore the world with pen and paper. "Slow Train", "Twin Moons", and "One Place to Another" can be considered as a loosely connected suite of stories (in that order).
Stories that contain "adult material", of one sort or another, are marked NK, "Not for Kids". So if you're a kid and you see "NK" next to a link--here in the writings section, but also anywhere else on this site--then you probably shouldn't click that link. However, we all mature at different rates, and we all have to learn about this stuff somehow/sometime....so proceed as you will, small(-er) one. Just be careful.
