These are photographs, from the Latin photus (light) and graphus (writing). Okay, so that is made-up Latin, I don't actually know Latin. Sounded realistic though, right? That's because I've got the gift for dealing with words and language, which, is one of the reasons why I wrote a book.
But really my primary interest is in stories, and as such the craft of storytelling. I'm not married to writing, or being a writer; because like any medium, yes it's endowed with its particular facility, but also with its limitations. Some of the photographs below are studies, suggestive fragments. Some of them are about light and pictorial architecture, methodologies for evoking tone, mood. And some of them are whole stories in and of themselves.
